Civil Construction, Erection and Mechanical Fabrication Works
Since the Inception of PSDC, civil works was one of the prime business. In the past and recent years PSDC is always involved with major Civil works.
All the control room buildings of the relevant projects were designed constructed by PSDC. Basically, all kind of Civil works is done by PSDC such as Survey, Pilling, Shuttering, Concreting, Electrical wiring & fixing etc. Besides these, it has completed two nos. of big multistoried residential buildings at BARAPUKURIA for the EPC Contractor, working for new Power Station Constructions.
Apart from Civil works of a sub -station, PSDC is well known for its ability to do Equipment Erection works and testing commissioning of a substation. For Equipment Erection, PSDC’s professional and skilled Engineers & Foreman’s are always ready for providing service.
Highly Skilled & Knowledgeable expertise are available for the execution of testing & Commissioning. Also, good numbers of testing equipment are available in the repository of PSDC.
Because of the versatile nature of works, PSDC is also in the position of its own fabrication and assembly shop with skilled manpower. It has enabled PSDC to fabricate and supply of the following items, mainly for its own supportive works.
Prime Contract
As a prime contractor, PSDC is gradually establishing its base in the field of turnkey project and very soon PSDC will become one of the leading EPC contractors. In recent years PSDC has done some turnkey projects for cables in Summit Power Plant both in Madanganj & Barishal. All works, including termination and testing, were done by PSDC expertise. PSDC was able to finish those projects successfully as an EPC contractor and got highly praised by the customers.
For cable projects, PSDC is well equipped with different manufacturers of cable & cable accessories and it hopes to become the leading turnkey contractor with cable projects in the country.
Apart from this, PSDC is focusing on some other turkey projects too like overhead line projects & metering projects.
In transmission line projects, there are very few companies in Bangladesh who can do EPC. In near future, PSDC will be involved in such works.
In Energy metering world, Bangladesh is recently developing itself by covering all the areas with Pre -Paid meter. Very soon bulk projects will come for changing the existing meters with pre -paid meter. PSDC is working with few metering manufacturers for the establishment of pre -paid meter factory because the government has issued a jurisdiction that Local factory owner of Bangladesh will get the privilege to capture the pre-paid meter market. PSDC was involved in a research with some private companies for the development of Automatic metering infrastructure (AMI) and smart grid in Bangladesh.
For the development of software, some plans and ideas are in the pipeline of PSDC’s vision and making a software development team is one of them.
Sub-Contract
PSDC started its journey in the year 1999 as Sub-Contractor under HYOSUNG Corporation, Korea with 6 nos. of 33/11 kV New and Augmentation Works at KHULNA. Since then, it has been working for several foreign EPC Contractors till to date.
Presently, It has been working as the First Sub Contractor for Civil and Erection Works of 400/230/132 kV Substations in Bangladesh for Power Grid Company of Bangladesh Ltd. (PGCB) at KALIAKOIR. It has also been entrusted with the responsibility of Civil and Erection of 400/230 kV BIBIYANA Substation recently.
Apart from the above two Prestigious Projects, it has so far completed good nos. of Electric Substations ranging from 33 kV to 230 kV voltage level both AIS & GIS. Also, PSDC has completed many works for ABB Singapore in SUMMIT 337IVIW Meghnaghat Power Plant, ORION 102MW Power Plant Project & Horipur 412 MW Power Plant.
PSDC has recently completed EBOP for KODDA 150 MW Dual Fuel Power Plant under CCC Engineering Limited, China.
